All About Howdy, Handsome!

Greetings, all! I hope everyone had a wonderful, peaceful Christmas. My husband and I drove a few hours to Jackson Hole ski resort. The snow was not that good, as it is the case in many parts of the country, but we had a great time filled with great food and plenty of desserts (and even dessert for breakfast in the form of pastries)!

The only downside to traveling is, I don’t sleep very well when I’m not in my own bed. There is something about the right firmness to a mattress and the correct height of a pillow that I’ve curated correctly after years of trial and error and since hotels never seem to get that right for me, well… I’m still recovering lol! I threw out my lower back, re-injured my right knee and tweaked my touchy left shoulder. All of which are old sports injuries that just like to pop up now and again to let me know I used to be athletic. 🤠

Now, onto the main event: Howdy, Handsome! I am so excited for this upcoming release, and I hope you are ready to ride all the way to the stars with me! 🤠🚀💫

Howdy, Handsome takes place on a ranch in an unincorporated area of my fictional Big Horn, Wyoming- which is where A Weather Girl’s Guide to Love was set! This story does mention Hailey & Colt, and comments on the happenings of their lives now, too! Out of all of my towns, Big Horn might be my favorite because it’s very much inspired by the city I live in! I’m only planning on expanding my towns in future books, so stay tuned for more in Big Horn, Sage Mountain and Maple Haven, WYOMING! ✨

Just for Fun

The idea for this story came to me one morning while I was diligently working on The Chalet Next Door. There is a thousand + acre ranch that I drive by frequently and I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be a hoot if an astronaut crash landed there? I’ve always loved space movies and a little sci-fi, so I concocted this story of God’s miraculous solutions and a dash of His incredible sense of humor. It’s certainly a tale for those who do not take life too seriously and are ready to believe that anything could happen 😉

Writing Life

I have so many pots in the fire right now, I don’t even know how I can count my works-in-progress. Lord willing, you will be seeing a few more projects from me in 2026! I have also signed on for a really fun project that I can’t wait to tell you more about next year. (BTW, “See you next year” is my FAVORITE joke for new year’s week, and I’m legitimately disappointed when people beat me to saying it first LOL!)

Currently, I am working in the early morning hours each day on a romcom that is a little bit cowboy, a little bit Yellowstone. As in, Yellowstone National Park! ✨ I would love to expand my cute cowboy universe into the park, as 96% of YNP is in Wyoming, and a good chunk of that is in the county that I live in. The park is such a huge part of my life that I’d love to have stories that take place there!

For now, my universe of stories includes the starry night sky, and I can’t wait until January 13th. As I write this, UPS is out for delivery to give me my copies of Howdy, Handsome books, and I couldn’t be more excited!
